Gorgeous Costume

This fabric made a beautiful 50's cocktail dress that was used as a stage costume. The gold threads loved the lights! The color was also rich and true to the pictures. The hand is somewhat firm and tailors nicely. Finish all seams, as it does ravel somewhat. I would love to find the oppertunity to use this fabric again.

love it!

This is really beautiful fabric. I took it to the cleaners to have it tested in the different chemicals and there was no dulling of the palettes and no shrinkage. Dry clean in hydrocarbon only.

Awesome Spandex

Awesome spandex. In great prints and colors we can not find in sewing centers in Minnesota. Have decided to make the entire gymnastics team leotards. Will send photo's soon...

So light a demin it needs ironing

Nice weight; worked up easily into a gored skirt; but it is a high maintenance fabric as it wrinkles in washing and wearing.

This fabric is great; quite sturdy and holds up to a lot of use. Breaks in and becomes more flexible over time. Not for use with weak sewing machines on complicated projects though---my new Kenmore machine couldn't handle more than 3 layers of fabric so I have to use my old all-metal machine. Definitely wash whatever you're making before using it; the dye will bleed a little bit if it gets wet.
