Cotton twill is woven with a diagonal thread pattern so that it is stronger and more durable than plain-weave cotton. It can stretch in either direction providing comfort even in close-fitting garments. The fabric is wrinkle- and tear-resistant but still light, breathable and absorbent like regular cotton. It has a suede-like feel, very soft to the touch and tends to drape well. Its lightweight strength makes it suitable for a variety of uses including clothing, tote bags, curtains, craft projects, and upholstery.

The cotton twill fabric is suitable for a variety of uses including pants, jackets, shirts, tote bags, handbags, craft projects, and home decor. Dry cleaning is recommended as washing can weaken the fibres in the twill weave.
