Drum Dyed Lamb Nappa is a full-grain leather made from un-split lamb-hide and is noted for its softness and durability as well as its stretchy and flexible qualities. Drum dyeing is when the prepared hides are put into a drum barrel and left to soak up a natural dye. They are then 'tumbled' in the barrel to ensure softness and durability. Drum dyeing is a completely natural finishing process and variations may occur due to the dye being absorbed at different rates by the leather. Our leather is sold by the foot in 6.5 to 7.5-square- foot pieces and is available is an array of pleasing colors. 

Drum dyed lamb nappa is often used in high-quality leather products such as high-end garments, shoes, furniture and accessories. The delicate leather hides used to make nappa leather are not water-resistant, so spraying the leather with a stain and water protector will reduce the chances of damage. Condition nappa leather with a lanolin-based product to protect the leather and help lock in color.
