The material is a heavier silk that offers more structure than charmeuse or habotai, and the fabric is great for tailored garments such as suits, skirts, and jackets. This is a nice heavy weight fabric with a beautiful drape. It is a joy to work with such a high quality product! Pros:

I use this fabric for a pant and dress. The fabric drapes
nicely and have a nice shine to it. It is not so shiny and not so
dull--the perfect fabric for office work to evening gown. The only
problem is that the fabric is slippery, so it is hard to work with,
especially during sewing and cutting. It also leaves little needle
holes if you make a mistake and you need to take out the thread.
You may need to use silk thread to prevent that. I used cotton
thread. Otherwise, I love the fabric---how it drapes, how just
wonderful it moves with the body.I would recommend this item to a friend.

This fabric is heavy in weight being 4 ply.Its beautiful,very rich in colour and lustrous.This fabric drapes beautifully, I got it to make a long Skirt for myself. I would totally recommend this fabric. And pricing wise u can't go wrong from ordereing from NYfashioncenter.
