USES & CARESilk habotai is perfect for evening wear, and is commonly found in lightweight garments such as lingerie and summer blouses.
CARE: Hand wash separately in lukewarm water using a mild detergent. Agitate gently and rinse with cool water after a few minutes. Do not let the fabric soak. Lay flat to dry, do not wring out. Fabric should be washed before cutting.

This silk habotai is a wonderful weight, has a smooth luscious hand, floats in the air and drapes beautifully. I purchased two colors to match the prints of two other fabrics I have in my stash, and through the swatch process I was able to determine which would be the best color selections. The ones I chose matched perfectly, and I'm always blown away by the selection of colors available.Pros:

The Habotai fabric carried by NY Fashion Center is lovely. It is a good weight and the colors are wonderful. It is advertised as "paint on" and fabric artists would really love it.I would recommend this item to a friend.

The silk habotai was perfect for summer pants.(I used black). I suppose lighter colors might be a little too sheer for something like pants, but would still make wonderful summer wear. Price and service were excellent. Will use NY Fashion Center Fabrics again.
