quilting with silk

I needed this centerpiece to be washable so I did prewash and fix the color with vinegar. It worked well, but I was surprised that even ironing it WET did not remove all the wrinkles. This has not affected my quilt project at all..it just added more character and the quality and color are perfect. The quilt needs to be edged with the same silk. But it all takes time. I love the easy access and courtesy shown to me at NY Fashion Center. Photos will follow when the project is finished in Sept.Pros:

I ordered the ivory and light yellow faille. When the
fabrics came, I was surprised by how beautiful the they. They have
a low sheen and the colors were just as expected and easy on the
eyes. It was a bit crisp and sounds kind of funny when you touch
it, but overall very rich looking.Pros:

I ordered about 15 samples and when they arrived they were perfect quality-it was hard to choose. However the faille that I ordered was even more beautiful than I expected. It came quickly and I bookmarked NY Fashion Center into my computer. I'll be back!
