Alencon Lace #3

The Alencon lace #3 features an ornate floral pattern embroidered with dark thread and outlined in gold ribbon. The eye-catching design stands against a fine net ground created by sewing together hundreds of small stitches resulting in a fabric so durable it will not unravel even if one or more of the loops is broken. Called the Queen of Lace, Alencon is named for the region of France where it began to be made in the Venetian style and is a tradition dating back to the 17th century.
