Interfacing, also referred to as interlining, is the behind the scenes workhorse fabric of the garment industry: it adds body, structure, durability and volume to any type of garment, from the lightest silk dresses to bulky coats and outerwear, applied to the inside of the garment.
Our interfacing fabrics are available in two options: sew-in and fusible. Sew-in interfacing is stitched to the garment, while fusible interfacing is applied using an iron and pre-treated with glue. The interfacing and interlining fabrics at NY Fashion Center Fabrics come with detailed instructions regarding usage and care, and are available in a wide variety of weights, widths, and colors.
