A true work of art, ikat fabric originated in Western Asia and is a lightweight, somewhat stiff, pure silk material, similar in feel to dupioni, with a beautiful natural pattern. Produced with yarn dyed silk yarns, this fabric has two colors woven together and is strikingly elegant, perfect for wedding and formal wear or home décor.

Ikat fabric is typically used for the same projects as dupioni or shantung, such as formal wear or lovely drapes and home decor.
